12oz can, sample from the brewery.
Near perfect head and lacing on top of this black beer that shows tawny edges in the light. Slightly dank hoppiness in the nose and on the palate. Mild roasted malt character is shown within its creamy smooth body, Very well balanced, it wants to be dominantly hop forward but the roasty flavor is right there which is what this style is about. Kiss of warmth from the alcohol and clean throughout. One of the better CDAs or Black IPAs I've had in a good while.
