NO RULES were followed throughout the creation of this beer. This Imperial Porter was made with coconut, turbinado sugar and laid down to age in Bourbon Barrels for several months. It tasted so good, we racked it into a 1st-use 10-year barrel to age for an additional 12 months for double the pleasure.

Pours an effervescent chestnut/mahogany with rapidly disappearing mocha colored head. Viscous as Hell, zero head retention & lacing

S: Vietnamese Coffee & a little barrel, figs & dark cherry once warmed up

T: Mostly barrel, dak fruits, some Vietnamese Coffee up front. Dark Chocolate, plenty of Bourbon, vanilla notes, dark cherry & figs mix in as well once this beer warms up, coconut as well, also more pure, raw oak barrel notes. Finishes with a boat load of Bourbon Barrel, vanilla, dark chocolate & a kiss of coffee & some coconut

MF: Medium/chewy body, fairly assertive carbonation & assertive warming, Body thins as this warms up

Monster of a beer, but drinkable as can be for what it is

The pour is stout black with a very short lived manilla colored head that left almost no lacing.
The taste is full of sweet coconut, and it carries over into a sweet beer. The Imperial Porter aspect is mild chocolate with vanilla and some coffee. A little bourbon is noticeable but any oak is lost in the sugar and coconut.
The feel is nicely viscous, by no means heavy, just has some body. For the 18.2% ABV it would not hurt to have a bit more body to it.
OA, most of the series is in 12 oz cans, interesting that this monster is in a pint container.
