The color is some sort of brown-orange amber with a reasonable white head. The liquid was once the contents of a pint can and it now has a temporary residence in a clear glass Imperial pint mug. The aroma is mildly sour and mildly of blackberry and raspberry. It tastes a little more sour than many in this category and it certainly has more of the hoppy bite of an ale than most. The body is light, as with most fruit and field brews. The glass lacing isn't commendable, but the head sustains throughout the session. The berries add a little sweetness at the onset, but defer to the sourness and the hops during the finish. They never make a bold taste appearance. That makes this a refreshing change from those that are fruity and just a little tart.
