A: Dark brown with red highlights. Cloudy. White lace with good retention.
S: Bright, slightly tropical.
T: Juicy, sort of a jumble that comes together better as it warms. tart cherry, very ripe peach pit flesh, oaky finish
M: Tart, a little astringent. Dry finish. Doesn't quite come together perfectly.
O: Tasty but a bit all over the board.

Bottle from Colorado.

Pours dark amber with a quickly dissipating head of beige. A partial skim coat for the duration with some streaks of lacework.

Pineapple, soured fruit, and light caramel notes lead off the nose. Lightly funky and fruity.

Medium bodied and bit tacky.

Fairly malt-forward on the palate. Shades of apples, melon, and fruit candies follow through.

Finishes somewhat sweet with fading fruit and light Brett.

The Brett is mild and hopping is negligent. The beer is decent but doesn't deliver on the name.

Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.

2014 vintage. Released August 2014. Bottle No. 1298/1800.

Pours a murky orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with grain, fruit, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour grain, fruit, earth, and acidic flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a great smell and solid flavors.

Serving type: bottle.

this is really solid, and these guys have clearly come a long way. a nice hoppy wild ale here, with a different yeast complexion than i am used to from paradox. its not a high acid wine-like thing, its more of a subtle fuzzy funk that really works with the copious hops, that are at once citrusy and fresh, but also bitter and green. i think the proportions are great here, as far as the kettle and dry hops are concerned, and i think the fermentation is patient. its really dry. carbonation is right on, also something new for me in paradox beers. its lively and active and alive feeling, really works with the bretty funk. tropical fruity in the finish, this is one of the better paradox beers ive had.
