Sour ale brewed with salted watermelon aged in oak wine barrels. Inspired by the Gose style of salted sour beers, this sour mash golden ale was aged in white wine barrels. Next it spent extended aging on generous amounts of watermelon, which comes through in the nose and on the palette. The result is tart, dry, and luscious, like a ripe salted chunk of watermelon in a glass.

Amazing, amazing sour/gose. The only reason I give the 'feel' a 3 is because of the low carbonation which almost makes it feel flat. However I still didn't mind an other than that, the taste is a perfect balance and blend of sour watermelon jolly rancher ale. With some funk. If you like watermelon seek this out.

Oct 2014 poured into a FW Barrelworks Teku
Look: Poured an opaque rusty pink/orange color with noticeable sediment with an off-white head
Smell: Smelled of sweet watermelon
Taste: Juicy watermelon initially and then hit with pleasant sour acidity. The salt compliments the sourness of this beer nicely in typical gose-style fashion.
Feel: Slightly dry mouthfeel with perfect amount of tart
Certainly a "different" brew as I haven't had the opportunity to taste many beers with watermelon, however, this beer definitely allows this fruit to shine. I had this beer last year when it was released and was good too but aging has allowed this beer to develop well. A fantastic brew that I look forward to drinking again.

This beer was one of the more unique beers I have ever had. I am not sure what flavor I got, as I have never had a watermelon beer, but it was weird. I definitely got some of the gose, but it was just an all around different beer.
