another solid recent release from paradox. I greatly enjoyed this bottle with my brother at thanksgiving. with the cranberries, I thought it would fit right in, and it did. its hazy and cloudy and thick, and not really holding much head at all, but the nose is great. tartness of the cranberry is right there with the sharpness of the wine and the sour funk mix of brett and bugs. its got a more refined sourness to it than the other beers I remember from paradox, and I think the fruit shows through the thicker textured base of this rather well. my critique is the feel, its heavy and flat, but that's wild ale sometimes. the flavor is great, and the wine barrel was a nice choice to compliment the cranberry. more carbonation would really make this though, still its a great leap forward for these guys compared to some of the earlier beers in this series.
