Sour and wine come through. Very little carbonation and pineapple + tangerine absent. A bit of effervescence would help to brighten the flavors.

Tried this at Eli Cannon's in Middletown, CT. Came in a tulip glass with about a half inch of head and no lacing and a rusty orange color. The aroma was on the sour side. The flavor was sour as was expected. It's a little too sour for my taste. Not bad.

surprised this is as strong as it is, drinks light and easy, even without as much carbonation as it should have, these bright tropical flavors want some bubbles, and its pretty flat, which is my only real critique of this one, one of the better paradox beers i have had, and the first one in quite some time. the mix of fruits is nice here, modeling on a white sangria, with white grapes, tangerine, and pineapple, all of which call be easily picked out in the aroma and flavor, but with the grapes really leading the way for my palate. i like the sweetness of the pineapple against the higher acidity here, this is pretty sour overall, but the fruit balances it well, even the orange bitterness is nice in here, makes it almost refreshing. it still has some of that classic paradox dirty sort of barrel complexion to it, a little yucky with the acid, but its brief here and covered up well by all the fruit. flavorful and interesting beer, it would be good with coconut in it too, even lime, but i like it as it is too. it would be better at lower alcohol i think as well, these flavors sort of demand drinkability, it definitely creeps up on you! i have stayed away from paradox beers for awhile, maybe its time to jump back in now...
