Can to tulip.
The appearance was a semi-dark purple to rustic brown color with a quickly dissipating semi-fizzy head. No lace.
The aroma had some sweet to tart and sour Marion blackberries along with the Malbec grape juicy sour whiffs.
The flavor leaned into a puckering sour berry to grape juicy quality. Dry sour and tart aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good. But the sour becomes overpowering. Finishes with the grape juice and blackberry notes.
Overall, a fruited sour ale that I would say works for warmer months but not necessarily one I'd seek out this time of the year. Thanks Steve!
