This beer was brewed for a benefit with portions of the proceeds going to The Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center.
A Pale Ale aged on oak, blending American and Belgian brewing techniques, this hybrid blends the unique fruity characteristics imparted by the Belgian yeast with the well balanced bitterness from the hops.

another paradox beer that probably should have been consumed fresh instead of aging, and yet another one that nobody knows if it was supposed to be bretty or not, or whether its infection is intentional. hazy murky light brown brew, darker than expected for whats listed here as a pale. lots of sediment too. the nose isn't bad, hops have faded a lot i imagine, really more of just the sweet grain base and the funky brett left over. also tons of wine barrel character, which maybe wouldn't have worked so well with the hops anyway, but now that they are less forward, i think it works decently well. i just don't like the weird yeast on this, it doesnt really belong. too winey to be a brett hoppy beer, not carbonated enough to be a wild ale, at least as i like them, but none of the flavors are way off if its intentionally wild. overall more bubbles might make this one all the way drinkable, but i couldn't finish the bottle once i got too focused on the potential infection. I'm about done with the paradox lineup, not sure theres many i care to revisit outside of the skully series.

Quite handsome pour in the tall Petrus glass. Tall, prickly foam foam and endless lacing with a orangey golden amber color. Sudsy and alive in the mouth. Aroma is not so strong, but the nose of old shoes and roast chicken is eye-opening.
This is huge and fruity with a tart, barrel-flavored edge. It's a funky, salty, meaty flavor. The wild yeast seem to be playing with the Belgians. Bitter finish and a tangy sensation. Passion fruit and leather. Wild sage and parsnips. Crazy. Every sip and smell brings on some new flavor hallucination. If the fine print said there was wolf urine in this I would believe it.
Totally interesting brew. Quite sippable, but it's a seriously strong-flavored fruit taste with aromatics that make me think of stable cleaning day. Vast flavor for 6% ABV and no apparent hops. The 750 ml swingtop was marked down at Grapevine Liquors in Denver.

Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.
Bottle # 748/900.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with malt, grain, fruit, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour grain, fruit, and acidic flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a mild but pleasant tartness.

Bottle 535 of 900. Per the brewery's website, “This beer was brewed for a benefit with portions of the proceeds going to The Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center.”
Very effervescent; thick, creamy head; orange-copper body. Somewhat fruity aroma; orange and lemon with a hint of phenols in the background; faint touch of malt grains, too. Sweet, fruity taste mixing in with a lightweight malt flavor to start off; bold bitterness builds up midway through the taste and lingers at the finish. Rather soft and light body; very dry finish.
A decent enough beer yet doesn't quite seem to live up to its potential. The beer does seem to meet the basic intent of the brewer's per the brew's description on Paradox's web site. Still, a little disjointed in the balance and kind of lackluster with its complexity. Hop aroma and bitterness are the high points. It will be interesting to see what the next offering in this project series will have to offer.
