Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a bright yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of lemons, a touch of watermelon. Taste is equal parts lemons and watermelon, neither tart or sweet. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a highly refreshing beer that would likely hit the spot during the summer.

12 oz 2018 bottle served in pint glass.
I imagine it's quite difficult to make a beer that has watermelon, lemon and bready malts with good enough balance such that all three are clearly present, but Abita has managed just this. Some faint spicy hops also appear in the mildly bitter, lemony aftertaste. The aroma is the weak spot with too much lemon and a suggestion of cheap candy.

Happy #WatermelonWednesday ! I recently completed a brewery horizontal with Abita B.C. on Uinta Abita New Beer This Sunday, Bro./GEN Woody (Week 721)?, but this one seemed more appropriate for today.
From the Bottle: "Harvest Series"; "Inspired by the taste and aromas of summertime, this crisp, golden lager is brewed with pilsner and wheat malts and blended with refreshing watermelon and zesty lemon juices for a sweet, freshly squeezed flavor. The nice thing about these Fruit & Field Beers is that they just need to taste of natural fruit flavors. Beyond that, it becomes personal taste.
I began by Pop!ping the cap & conducting a C-Line pour into the awaiting glass. I was rewarded with just over a finger of foamy, fizzy, bone-white head with limited retention, quickly falling away to wisps. Color was Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4) with just a faint haziness, perhaps a chill haze from my overly cool reefer. Nose was more lemony than watermelon, but I still caught scents of both. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but definitely on the light side of the spectrum. The taste was an interesting role reversal in that now, watermelon was prevalent while lemon took more of a supporting role! It was quite tasty & I am sure that it would really hit the spot on a hot, humid Summer day. Finish was semi-dry and quite refreshing overall.

Abita Watermelon Lemon Shandy has a thick, white head, a hazy, bubbly, yellow appearance, with bubble streams, a few tan specks, and moderate glass lacing. Aroma is of lemonade and white bread, and the flavor is of tap water, acidic citrus fruit, and white bread. Mouthfeel is low to medium, and Watermelon Lemon Shandy finishes medium dry.

Poured from a 12 oz glass into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Clear light golden pour with massive foamy white head. Solid retention and a great rim of lacing.
S: Tart lemon and watermelon... pretty much what the bottle said.
T/F: Light and a bit watery... mild sweetness. Lemon flavor without much tartness... watermelon in the background coming through later in the swig. Light grains with not a lot else going on. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation.
O: A VERY light (with 3.5% ABV you can drink this all day) fruity beer. As advertised it's heavy on the lemon and watermelon. Not much else to it... refreshing... the kind of thing I'd want after a jog maybe. Definitely maybe.
