12oz canned on 11/27/24
On the pour 2 fingers of bone white head formed on top of a very slightly hazy pale golden body. Head retention is decent and it keeps looking good for a while, no weird big bubbles making for a foamy head.
Aroma is lightly hoppy and sweet with a slight crackery 2-row malt behind the floral hops. Quite simple.
Out of the glass there is still that slight hop flavor going on with a light sweet malty presence. No off flavors, but it is generally quite light. Not light beer light, but no big malty notes here. There is a vague bitterness, but nothing that jumps out at me. Generally this is super clean, and I'm not really getting the hate I've seen in previous reviews. Cleaner than any macro lager, although the flavor is less than a classic Michelob lager, I will say that.
Feel is fuller than expected, and isn't drying at all. A slight mouth-coating feel develops as you drink more. Again nothing crazy or really out of the ordinary, but I'd like it to be a bit more dry. Still very drinkable.
Overall this is an average, albeit high quality session lager. Not a whole lot happening, but it is very clean, and I will say to do that consistently at this price point is quite impressive. Just give me a bit more malt!

Honestly I thought this definitely tasted good but the more I try it I'm like why have this and Avery Lager, I slightly still prefer Avery Lager but they're very similar

12 oz can, canned on 8/21/20. Pours clear pale yellow with a medium fizzy white head that retains fairly well and leaves little lacing.
The aroma is vegetal corny malt with some metallic hops.
The flavor is sweet vegetal malts with a crisp light bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with sparkly carbonation.
Overall, slightly better than a macro lager.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden yellow color with a good-sized, white head of bubbly foam. It left minimal lacing. Sweet caramel, bread crust and subtle floral notes. Sweet caramel and toffee taste and a very mild bitterness. Crisp, sharp and easy-drinking.

Your basic light lager here, obviously made to sell on campus at sporting events, so you could put down a few of them and not get yourself into trouble. It's nothing fancy at all, but it's their version of a session beer. Very light in color and feel, and would also go well on a camping trip.

Brief initial impression of a 12 fl oz pull-tab can:
4.5% ABV. "Colorado gold lager."
APPEARANCE: Clear yellow-gold body. Off-white head ~10cm in height.
AROMA: 2-row malted barley...that's it.
TASTE: Crisp 2-row. Mineral water.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, refreshing, well-carbonated, crisp.
OVERALL: A simplistic lager available at a fair price. It drinks easy and it'll get you drunk, but I'd sooner buy a macrobrew lager (e.g. Michelob Lager) if in the mood for a beer like this. Neutral and shallow but enjoyable for what it is. A table beer to pair with spicy food, but not a great effort from Avery. Feels like the beer they brewed for the Bud and Coors drinkers visiting their taproom - which would be fine if this were actually a step up from something like Michelob Lager or Schlitz Gusto.
