Dark, dark brown with a thin head.
Grainy once you get into it. Or my nose doesn't work.
Roasted malt with the spiced saison edge. The rich malt of a stout's there in the body of a saison. I might've guessed this was a brown. Complex, no surprise there, with hint of pepper and dark chocolate. Tastey representation of the style but could stand a punch up on the stout side.
Light saison body. Could benefit from being closer to 50/50 with the styles here.

Appearance: dark brown with an off-white head. Good retention.
Smell: Roasted coffee, chocolate, fruits, spicy esters.
Taste: Belgian chocolates. Complex fruitiness. Some bubblegum in the aftertaste. A little coffee roast. Spicy notes are present. No flavor is overpowering. Goes does easy with the 5.5% ABV.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied, smooth, bubbly.
Overall: As if a Belgian Saison and an American Stout had a baby together. Delicious.
