Saisson is a style introduced by the Belgians to quaff the summertime thirsts of farmers. This one, End of Summer in English, is a crisp and tasty beer that can be enjoyed any time of the year. It pours out a frothy head that takes some time to settle into a creamy crown. The lacing is heavy. There is a semi-translucent golden color to it. A nice, but subtle, nose exists.
Easy on the palate, La Fin De L'Ete, is a pleasant quaff. There is a spicy note of apple, plum and lemon on the tongue.
Another winner from this under-rated brewery.

Pours a somewhat large two finger head of bleached white foam, retention is good albeit as expected no lacing. Crystal clear golden color, easy to view the wealth of bubbles rising throughout. The nose has pronounced pepperiness with a close to equal amount of meadow grasses and unprocessed grains, then rose petals, bubblegum, quinine, and subtler peach, pear, apple fruit scents. Medium-bodied, fairly muscular from start to finish, carbonation lends more fluffy tingle than prickle. On the bitter side which elevates the freshness, here the mineral water and lemon peel notes lead the way followed on by that pepperiness. Wheat germ and a touch of bubblegum, it never gets close to true sweetness. The apricot, pear fruit flavors proportionate to the whole. Unadorned, there's definitely an attitude that simplicity rules. About as sessionable of a saison as I can remember having, well done.

Can. Beautiful CLEAR bright gold with lasting head and lotsa lace. Grassy peppery floral aroma with hints of lemon cake. Medium-light fresh grainy sweetness with long peppery herbal bitterness and very dry finish. Light body and lively. Totally excellent. I wish I had been able to get this in 'l'ete'.
