Sorachi ACE Lager

I had this beer on-tap in a pub glass at the brewery.

Appearance: pale straw hue with a tiny dash of haze and a good effervescence. Head is a finger of ivory foam.

Smell: sweetish malt with a rather yeasty character. There's a little bit of an almost cloying fruitiness that is not quite ideal.

Taste: dryish, grainy malt with some of that almost acetone like flavor from the aroma. Hops are rather herbal and earthy. I'd say it's not my favorite formulation.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: just not really my favorite ... an interesting base idea but the execution has some off flavors that leave something to be desired.
