12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, pale-golden color with a thin, fizzy, white head of foam. It smelled of caramel and grasses. Oddly malty with minimal bitterness.

Pours straw yellow with a wispy, slowly vanishing, head. Minimal lacing sticks.

The smell is clean - maybe a hint of grain.

The taste is of mild sweet grain with some lemongrass dryness in the finish.

It is clean, crisp and relatively refreshing.

A basic, mediocre-ish, lager.

It's.. disappointing, but it's a store brand "made for". Brewed in Steven's Point by... who? Whoever made it for Pick n' Save was probably given a price they'd pay, and it was really low. Cheap beer, I'll drink it, it's not horrible, and that's the nicest thing I can say about it.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Stumbled across a random store-specific contract brew at Mariano's. Why not, right? This stuff pours a clear straw topped by a finger of relatively short-lived lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises light wheat, very light grass, and a slight intimation of lemon rind. The taste brings in more of the same, dialing up the lemon rind and adding a strong sense of funk and metal. Ew. The body is light enough, with a light moderate carbonation and a generally crisp finish. Overall, a kinda sad excuse for a pils, one that just doesn't taste all that good, and one that just screams "I'm a cheap store-specific contract brew for the sake of it!"

Contract brewed by Point for Roundy's stores, Copp's, Mariano's, etc.

Smells like sweet corn and silage, wet grains, unbuttered popcorn. Straw gold color, uber-pale, very bright clarity. On the initial pour, there was a fluffy head of white foam that rose above the rim, leaving behind a sticky halo of delicate lace in the glass.

Tastes fairly dull, some vague astringent bitterness in the aftertaste, bland graininess, saltine crackers. Fizzy at first, quickly becoming limp on the palate. Astringent with some numbing perceptible alcohol. Overly gassy CO2. This beer is pretty bland and flavorless, nothing like a real German pilsner, with little to no redeeming value... pass this right on by at the grocery store...
