Brewed exclusively with Simcoe hops, SIMCOE BOMB is a hazy, golden IPA showcasing the nuanced and piney notes of Simcoe, with a blast of a tropical sherbet aroma.

12 oz can from the Wall of Beer in Clemson, SC ($2.49). Canning date was exactly 5 weeks ago.

Mouthfeel. Medium+ soft carbonation and s medium body provide a good feel. Nonetheless, given the lively carbonation and the juicy flavor, I think I'd like a little fuller body.

This tastes better than it's sibling Citra Bomb which i had last night. In fact, it even tastes more like I expected from that Citra IPA. It's certainly a fine presentation of Simcoe hops.

Drank out of a can with ko DOB, so may have been a factor, but this drsnk uninspired snd bitter to mrme. Does had thst sherbert undertone which is just not in my profile. Will give it another shot on draft as Sloops are usually mid+ offers.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of melons, citrus. Taste is pine, oranges, a touch of grapefruit, mild bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

Love this hudson valley brewer.
A) Pours a cloudy golden body beneath a full head of steamy white foam that paints glass with lace.
S) Aroma is earthy, dirty first, followed by citrusy, floral, piney, and apricot
T) The flavor follows aroma with more earth and dirt and pine, tart berry.
F) Finishes dry, spicy, astringent, resinous, and earthy.
O) Hail SImcoe.

Well, Simcoe is not my favorite hops but this one could become my favorite IPA. Surprisingly smooth, enough bitterness and a pleasant piney aftertaste. Bravo Sloop brewing!

Sloop Brewing "Simcoe Bomb"
12 fl. oz. can seemingly without production codes or freshness dating but the case is labeled "PACKAGED ON 06/07/22"
$23.69/12pk {BOMB BOX} HAZY IPA VARIETY PACK @ Javies Beverage, Phila., PA

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a cloudy golden body beneath a full head of bright white foam. The aroma is citrusy, floral, earthy, piney, and softly fruity with notes of apricot and passionfruit over a doughy malt base. The flavor follows with everything found in the nose and some underlying berry. A median bitterness and a fair amount of acidic "hop bite" balance it and it finishes dry, spicy, resinous, and earthy. It lingers for some time. In the mouth it's medium-light in body with a velvety smoothness due to all of the extra proteins. The head has held up held up well, much better than it did with the Citra Bomb and Mosaic Bomb that I recently tasted. I used the same glass that I'm using now so it's obviously "beer clean" but I'll make a note and adjust them if I need to on my next can. All in all this is an excellent example of what Simcoe hops can deliver.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is hazy, murky gold, dense looking, offwhite/light tan head presents 1 finger thick, head lingers very well with a solid top and some lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is grapefruit pith, pine resin, earth, juniper, some berry notes and lime, some cattiness and onion with warmth, light sweet malt.

Taste is pithy, piney, earth, berry and lime notes, lighter toast/biscuit malt.

Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness - lingering bittering bite from the simcoe.

Overall a hopping flavor and bite and balance with the haze that leans more toward my preferences - bigger bitterness, pithy-er, earthier, piney-er in flavor.
