Got a half-growler of this filled at Westmere Beverage on 10/22/17. I'm guessing by the name that it uses hops from Segal Ranch, though I'm not sure what variety.
A: Poured from the half-growler into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is hazy light-orange with a 1-finger ecru-colored head on top. No real lacing left behind.
S: Good nose of tropical fruit and herbal hops.
T: Tropical fruity hops up front (papaya, mango), then a more leafy, earthy and herbal hop taste at the finish. Lingering aftertaste is initially more of the earthy and herbal notes than tropical fruit. Some sweetness and a good amount of bitterness lingers in the aftertaste though, and there's a faint note of alcohol or spice at the finish.
M: Fairly juicy in feel. Medium in heft, with light/faint carbonation.
O: Good stuff - always glad to be able to try a new "Bomb" from Sloop, and this one doesn't disappoint. Whatever hop(s) they've used here, it's more leafy and herbal than some of their other varieties, and so for me at least, I prefer the "original" Juice Bomb.
