An NEIPA w/ a generous combination of hops from two of our favorite places — the Pacific Northwest & Australia. The lupulin powders mutate from bright, citrus aromatics to rounded, full bodied stone fruit flavors. So good it’s uncanny.

Decanting a pint can into a clear glass Imperial mug originates these observations. The brew is very densely opaque with a dull yellow and orange tinted color. There's a very mild delivery of yeast, starch and some hops to the nose. Not bad describes the head and glass lacing. Almost tasteless, with only a slightly bitter finish, this disappoints. It's light to the palate, but far less complex than a good NEIPA should be. It obviously is missing a barley malt contribution to both the taste and mouth feel. If this is an example of what lupulin contributes to a beer, look for a whole hopped one.

Look: Hazy, opaque, bright yellow color with a one finger satin white head.
Aroma: Bitter/Dry tangerine/grapefruit skins. . . some earthy soil. . . cantaloupe and honeydew melons. Waxy, fruity, dry.
Taste: Supple in its arrival. Gentle, bittersweet, somewhat dry tropical fruit along the lines of cantaloupe, mango and papaya upfront. Followed by a backdrop of pine sap and spruce resin that transitions into waxy grapefruit pith and white pepper flavor before going vaguely sweet with notes of orange. Backbone of hearty, biscuity pale malt. Ends on more gentle, bitter dried fruit skins and pine sap.
Feel: Mouthfeel is viscous, thick and rich yet finely carbonated. Supple on the tongue, almost silky.
Overall: Nice take on a NEIPA. For a 6.5% it packs good flavor and sessionability. What sets it aside from the rest is that nice musky, sweet tropical fruit flavor in tandem with it's waxy, ashy, bitter hop bite.

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose along with hints of peaches.
T: The taste is a tad sour and has flavors of gooseberries, limes, and passion fruit.
M: It feels medium-bodied, a little juicy, and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This New England IPA has a lot of different flavors going on in the taste and is quite complex.
