A: Poured from the can into a Palm tulip. Body is hazy lightish-yellow with a small white head.
S: Not a strong nose at all - some pineapple, some citrus . . . but really faint overall.
T: Juicy NEIPA-style DIPA - citrus (lemons, grapefruit, limes) and touch of tropical fruit (pineapple). 8% ABV is not evident at all - at least, not on the palate (though after a few sips I'm starting to feel some warmth in the belly and that familiar buzz in the head). Dangerous drinker in that regard. . . . Finishes with a touch of lemony bitterness that keeps this one from being too sweet.
M: Good feel for a NEIPA - juicy. Call the weight medium in body, carbonation more or less nonexistent.
O: Another winner from Sloop. Doesn't really stand out as being vastly different from their "Bomb" offerings (out of curiosity, I'd like to try this side-by-side with a Citra Bomb), but with that winning formula, I can't really fault them for being true to it with this (lighter) DIPA.
