The days are getting longer, & pretty soon the groundhogs will start coming out of their holes & checking for shadows. Here at Sloop, we rely on our very own groundhog, FISHKILL VAL, to tell us when spring’s gonna come, so we gave her her very own can — standing tall & proud, excited to be out & about in the spring sunshine — w/ her very own beer!

NO SHADOW is brewed w/ flaked oats & flaked wheat for an incredibly smooth, easy drinking IPA & Cashmere, Motueka, & Mosaic hops for fruity notes of apricot, white grapes, & Cap’n Crunch Crunchberries.

16 oz can from elixir 16 in troy !
16 oz pint glass .

Pours 1 finger white head leaves a little lace around the glass with small islands, color is a hazy yellow .

Smell is fruity, grassy and acidic .

Taste is bitter melon, tart citrus, hoppy .

Finish is sharp a bit thin and watery with a hoppy bite .

Overall typical new England I.p.a.sharp citrus with melon notes,
Not as good as others from this brewery but a good drinking beer just the same .

Poured from a 16oz can into a Trillium pub glass.

Look is a hazy yellow extremely opaque with a head that dissipates quickly.

Aroma is tangerine and mango, super tropical.

Taste is super bright and fruity, but body is very thin.

Don’t buy again. I don’t like cashmere hops.

From the can:

"W/Cashmere, Motueka, & Mosaic hops//Flaked Wheat & Flaked Oats."

A: Poured from the can into a Palm tulip. Body is hazy yellow with a thin white head on top.

S: Not too strong - green, raw hops and a touch of cat pee.

T: Nice juicy hops - tropical fruit (pineapple), lime, and melon rind. Touch of blueberries.

M: It's a bit juicy, but on the flat side, carbonation-wise.

O: I've had better from Sloop, but it's not bad.
