Can purchased from Oliver's Beverage in Albany, NY.

This one pours a fairly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like pineapple, white wine, grapefruit, and berry.

This is one of the more solid beers I've had from Sloop of late - I've been somewhat down on them lately. It's all pineapple and grapefruit, with a touch of that Nelson wine thing.

This is creamy, with no real booziness, and a decent drinkability.

Maybe this is a sign that Sloop is improving, or maybe this is a fluke. Whatever it may be, at least I enjoyed it.

As the first reviewer, I will enter the info on the can:

"Sloop & The Brew Crew present"

A double IPA brewed with flaked oats & flaked wheat.

Double Dry Hopped w/Mosaic Cryo & Nelson Hops

In Memory of Jeremy. We miss you.

A: Poured from the can into a tulip glass. Body is juicy/hazy golden-orange with a 1-finger lid of foamy white head.

S: Not a strong nose - some green, leafy hops, white grape skins, and pineapple. Touch of melon rind.

T: White grape skins (Nelson in the house), pineapple, pineapple-orange juice, ripe melon, ripe peaches, pine needle bitterness and a nice lemony bitterness at the finish. Alcohol not even noticed.

M: This beer really shines on the feel - "softer" than most Sloop NE IPAs, this one rivals Tree House for its feel. Not quite there, but getting close. . . . Definitely juicy. Medium in weight.

O: The sum here is better than its parts. A nice, juicy Double NE IPA that drinks more like a 6%-er.

Rest in peace, Jeremy.
