Big ups to Jordan for breaking a few of these out.
Pours an amber color, darker than the average SRM for a saison for sure. Off white head, around that 2/5" range. The aroma had a pretty normal take lemon tartness. Parent company online and bottle label says this is a fruited beer, but I don't think it is based off the taste and aroma. I dunno, can a rose or hibiscus be "fruit"? That was more of the vibe than "fruit" here. White wine barrel it seems. I dunno, maybe white grape is "fruited" or some derivative of the barrel.
Taste is quite nice even if I can't really put my finger on what is the fruited engine for the flavor. I keep getting more of a spice rack, honey and rose/floral arrangement to it. The honey seems more for the color and drying aspect of fermentation in the mouth feel. Its a weirdly delicious saison, I think that is the part i underplayed thus far, I really like the taste of this. It has a sourness, but not so much so that it is clearly wild ale territory. Whatever the fruit is, it isn't overdone, its nuanced.
