More clarity and brightness than your standard traditional 'esb'. Good white head, over half an inch. Aroma was floral, noble and c hops.
Plenty of bitterness and toasty, light pale malt. One of the better Nevada session beers with deep traditional roots and a little bit of local hops.

Called an English extra special "pale" this beer actually truly fits the description. One of the first things I noticed with the appearance is the brightness and clarity this one had going for it, bright yellow. Thin white head on the top, less than .5". Smelled of floral hops, noble and possibly a cascade addition.
Pronounced bitterness, but its not a distraction or really all that huge, its a 26 ibu beer, but the relative light body and malt keeps the bitter tang snappy and never bogging down the overall enjoyment of the beer. Lots of ipas these days with just ibu's jacked up and no hop mouthfeel, but this one was like a nice spring ale with zesty hops. Writeup on it says they are local, home grown estate hops, which I wouldn't doubt. Nuggets seem to grow best in Nevada, but if these are nuggets, they would have to have been used pretty sparingly I would think in such a light bodied beer. I'm sticking w/ my noble-cascade-willamette line of though. Ultimately, if I'm completely way off base, it still doesn't detract from this being a pretty enjoyable session beer.
Again, another beer I would have again. And I liked it in November, I really see this being enjoyable come springtime, up on the deck or patio.
