First trip up to this one year old brewery after hearing alot of positive feedback about what they are doing. One of three beers I tried this beer is actually a Biere de Miel a type of saison that goes through bottle fermentation and has the addition of honey, I was told this beer actually uses marshmallow honey. Color is just awesome, golden a little cloudy but it just pops. Aroma is subtle a combination of yeast citrus and sweet thay is pleasant but doesnt stand out. Flavor possesses a slight citrus note some earthiness with a little bit spice on the finish. The sweetness is very balanced and well rounded it hits all parts of the mouth. Often with honey beers the sweetness can be sharp or fleeting the marshmallow addition definitely seems to spread out the flavor. Overall great beer left me wanting more.
