Our interpretation of an Imperial American Amber. Hopped with Nugget, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin over a heavily malty, caramel backbone.

750ml swingtop growler courtesy of my sister. Thanks Jen. Poured into an Allagash stemmed glass.
A - Growler filled absolutely to the top of the growler pours into the glass with a huge three finger cap of super dense and creamy foam that just lingers forever. Nice thick webs of lacing left on the glass. Body is a medium amber color with an exceptional clarity to it. Good looking beer for sure.
S - Huge hop aroma fills the air even before I get my nose to the glass. Super citrusy with tons of grapefruit to it...touches of pine and some grassiness and a bit oniony too. Sugary sweet malt plays off of the hops quite well...touches of toffee and some bread dough.
T - Sharply bitter hops over the oniony hops. Citrus comes on with grapfruit front and center. Fades towards some toffee and caramelly malt, sugary sweetness and finishes back with the bitter hops ending a touch medicinal.
M - Higher level carbonation with some tingle, but more creamy than anything with a bit of foaminess too. Assertive hop profile with plenty of bitterness and flavor.
O - First impression of this new brewery...rather impressed. Reminds me more than a little bit of Stone's Enjoy By beers with a similar hop profile to my pallet. 8.1% alcohol is deceptive...don't really notice this at all, but creeps up on you. Happy that my sister is local to this brewery...looking forward to and expecting good things from here.

My first full review. I was waiting on a beer that really deserved it.
750ml Growler poured into a Dogfish/Sierra Nevada IPA glass.
Pours a nice reddish/copper color with a 2 finger head. Light lacing as the glass is emptied.
Lots of burnt caramel, bitter, citrusy hops and a little bit of booze on the nose. Smell was stronger when I first tasted it 3 weeks ago when it was just off the tanks.
Taste backs up the smell. Lots of burnt caramel and resiny hops. Coats the mouth nicely with a residual dank bitterness. Dangerously drinkable for 8.1%. I have no trouble polishing off the 750 on my own.
Overall, a great example of an Imperial Amber. I am a big fan of the hop profile. I have heard it compared to Nugget Nectar, but I find this to be less sweet and far more enjoyable. Another success for this budding brewery!

Pours a clear, light copper with a light tan head that fades to a thin film and thick collar, no lace. Hoppy and resiny aroma, pine and caramel malt, some surprising juicy citrus notes in finish. Medium thick, chewy body, mild carbonation and dry, sticky finish. Well balanced flavor, not overly malty with piney and citrus resin bitterness. Enjoyable.
