Draft pint at Montrose Saloon.
Pours a tawny dark brown, frothy tan foam that has a creamy surface texture. Lasting retention and some delicate arcs of lacing form around the edges of the glass.
Aroma is toasty and nutty, pleasantly malty and not overly sweet.
Taste is also nutty with a far bit of lingering toastiness. Medium bodied and smooth, though light enough to drink a pint with ease. Slight fruity astringency, though it doesn't distract much. Overall this is solid and well built, an easy choice to have again.
