Appearance: Pours cloudy, but not opaque yellow with two fingers of head that produced mild lacing and retained decently. The body did show some aggressive carbonation to start, but it did peter out around the half way mark.
Smell: Certainly leaning into the tropical branding as I get pineapple, citrus and maybe a slight touch of pine which I'll just say is some kind of tropical thorn plant to keep the illusion of the branding. Didn't need a lot of warming to achieve potency.
Taste: Starts with biscuit malt with a pineapple undertone. The pineapple then grows with some citrus before the hops start turning grapefruit and piney for the end.
Mouthfeel: The carbonation helps out the entire beer, and the transitioning is a good build-up to a peak (although I wish the profile was a bit more lengthened) but the aftertaste is predominantly bitter pine that doesn't cling too bad, but is a bit disappointing.
Drinkability: Settles down well, but the slightly clingy end also being a bit dry kind of hampers which I figure should be milder NE IPA that should lean into being an easy tropical drinker. That say the carbonation is mild and it certainly is interesting.
Final Thoughts: So my impression is what you were trying to go for was a milder NE IPA that's meant for summer drinking. This is more a late fall or early spring drinker, not quite ready to give way to summer. It's a decent offering. I probably wouldn't go out of my way for it, but it's perfectly serviceable.

473 ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase and review from notes.
Appearance - Hazy peach colored brew with lots of haze and capped with a couple fingers of decadent white head. Good retention.
Smell - Tropical medley with mango and pineapple standing out most.
Taste - Matching the nose, pineapple and mango are prominent with this leaning sweet for the first half of each sip. A little grapefruit bitterness enters in the second half and all this is over a grainy undercurrent.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, good expressive carbonation and pretty crushable.
Overall - A fairly solid APA that is worth trying.
