Tasted on tap at the Dublin Irish Pub in Dayton, OH. This was a beautiful, light brown beer with amazing, creamy head. I am sure it was on nitro, although the menu didn't state that. Delicious, creamy and malty beer with a lot of depth. Take it from a guy who has lived in England--this is a great ESB.

According to the brewery, this is not intended to be classified as an IPA of any kind. It is very English, more likely closest to an English Pale Ale.
Off the nitro tap, this is a thickly bubbled deep gold with a heavy cascade. It becomes translucent when it settles, a nice creamy tan head resting at one finger on top. A similarly creamy sheet of lacing clings to the glass.
The English character is certainly here, and it's traditionally hopped rather than giving in to the "biggest is best" mentality. It maintains a good hop bouquet in the aroma while letting the dryer English malts with their earthier, more mineral quality work. I want a little more out of the aroma overall, but it finds a balance and subtlety overall. There's plenty of grass and a gently herbal touch with a bit of dustiness underlying.
The feel is gentle in a medium body, lots of smoothness without giving up crispness. It works to seems a little less dry, even, middling in that regard.
