Our hefeweizen is a sessionable German wheat beer with light and refreshing hints of cloves and bananas. Historically, this style has been linked to summers in the biergarten, but our sells strongly all year long, regardless of the weather.

ABLE 2018. Hazy straw yellow with a modest head. Light wheat yeast nose. Medium wheat body, relatively thin. Very mild Hefe.

Looks - Pours a straw colored yellow with little to no head. Quite hazy also. As mentioned by another taster, small bubbles are persistent through the entire drink.
Smell - Very heavy clove with a little banana. I think I can smell a little grain through the clove and banana as well. There is also a tartness that stands out. It certainly smells crisp.
Taste - I expected a very strong flavor given the aroma but it's actually kind of mellow. I think the banana flavor really takes precedent early with a late hit of the clove and a mild tartness to finish.
Feel - Very light. It seems the carbonation may be high giving it a nice crisp feel initially but ends fuller than expected, maybe due to the banana flavor. I did notice a bit of a bite when the brew hits the tongue but that appeals to me for a summer drink.
Overall, not a bad beer. I wouldn't say it's my favorite but I found myself enjoying this more with every sip. This was a relatively difficult beer to rate for me as I don't have much experience with 1) Hefe's and 2) rating beer in general. I definitely view this as a great brew for a hot day given the light body, crisp feel and slight tartness. But a year 'round drinker? Probably not (for me at least).
