A collaboration between Zauber, Buckeye Lake, and North High enjoyed from a growler via Jungle Jim's in Fairfield. This mighty tasty Maibock pours a light amber straw color with a fantastic head of white foam that dissipates to a thin layer, thick ring, and excellent lacing. Nose of toasted caramel malts, sweet bread rolls, light yeast notes, and a touch of citrus. Flavors surpass the nose with sweet caramel that is not overpowering at all, followed by a citrus hop note to the middle and back followed by a light yeast flavor that is exceptional like a fresh sweet baked roll. The citrus hop flavor is nice and unique to the style, and one I am surprisingly getting more and more fond of. Excellent! Moderate to somewhat low carbonation, lightly slick, and subtly tart finish makes this outstanding.

Overall this Columbus Craft Beer Week brew is a winner and hopefully will be brewed again.

Cheers
