“Aged for 7 months in OYO Pumpernickel Rye Whiskey Barrels”
It smells excellent. Like a spiced bread and roasted coffee.
The pumpernickel flavor is pretty prominent and enjoyable. The rye is also there with a nice bite. The porter itself is a tad watery and the depth of the roasted malts doesn’t carry it enough, but the whiskey flavor is probably the worst part. It tastes a bit young/cheap. Pretty good beer overall
