As a local, I love this brewery. And it's not a bad Xmas ale - for those seeking something lighter and smoother. I didn't mind it, as I was in the mood for a lighter seasonal beer tonight. But in general, I prefer to go for the super cinnamom/gingerbread/toasty/chocolate flavored Christmas ales, and this is not that. But again, nothing wrong with it. It hits on a few Christmas ale cylinders and was easy to drink. Well done North High.

On tap at a local bar. I usually order Great Lakes Christmas Ale this time of year but the bar did not have it. so I tried this for first time and was pleasantly surprised it was just as good as GLBC. Came to me with a thick beige head, ( which would stay around til the end, and heavy lacing ) , dark brown to black. Smell subtly of cinnamon ,some ginger as expected, and malty. Taste followed the nose, not much hops, just bready malt and those holiday spices. The alcohol was not very noticeable. This was lighter version compared to most winter warmers and I could drink several of these in a session, Good job North High Brewinlgl

12 FL.OZ. can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours brown with brilliant rust colored highlights. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
I smell the Christmas spices. As it warms, I get a berry undertone.
Christmas spices are present but not overwhelming. Earthy flavor
Medium to light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
Solid Christmas ale

I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a dark clear amber with off white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had pine needle and mint chocolate chip notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with pine, mint and cinnamon presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

This was pretty malt heavy in comparison to other styles, the spice was a smidge subdued but overall I found this to be pretty good and up to par for the style
