Bomber: this one poured a slightly orangish hue. It was somewhat cloudy. It had a small off-white head that left some lacing. Decent enough nose. Grapefruit hops and some malts are predominant. The taste is also good. Fairly good balance of sweetness and bitterness, although I expected a little more of the sweet malts and the bitterness to come to the front: both were a bit subdued for a DIPA.

Pours moderately cloudy with a dirty gold color. Good initial head (two fingers) but it settles quickly. Leaves a cross between streaks and spots for lace.
Complex aroma of brown sugar, earthy notes and oregano. It works--I think the wet blanket (earthy) wins out.
Starts like an amber ale but quickly gets a one-dimensional bitter hop bomb on the back of the tongue. Unlike the smell, the taste is more predictable and pedestrian. Long bitter aftertaste which tastes a bit like autumn leaves smell. It's not bad, but it's less than the promise of the aroma. Thin bodied with an elevated carbonation level.

ACBF pour. Orange and cloudy. Aroma is surprisingly lacking in the nose. It's not as hop-perfumey as I was hoping. Instead is gather a low lying, resiny, bitter hop scent. Flavor is more talkative. Big, bitter rush of grapefruit and flower stem hops. Very bitter. Bready malt. Some other hoppy, fruity flavor and grassy hops. Definitely more interesting than their standard IPA.

Incredible east coast double in a west coast style. This blows a lot of my favorites out of the water. Very surprised.

Snagged a serving in a shaker pint today at the Nashua Garden, $3.50 during Happy Hour!!
It's a fairly medium golden hue, with some cloudiness within. Head is quite creamy and fine, a fluffy white layer of foam, with great glass coverage. Nose is somewhat restrained, though some citrus is evident. Has a good, medium body with minimal prickle on the tongue.
Flavor has some mild sweetness and a hint of toasty caramel, though subtle. Hopping is somewhat citrussy, though more on the bitter, dry side. Could use more sweetness and/or hard-ass hopping. Without either it's just a middle of the road offering. Still fairly good, though. Prosit!

From the 650 ml. bottle. 2015 batch. Sampled on March 29, 2015.
Golden yellow, heady pour. Good clarity.
The aroma is full of citrus and floral hop sensations. Maybe some grassy notes too. Undercurrent of toasted bread.
Medium but a little acidic on the body. Might just be the sharpness of the hops.
And those hops have a sharp bitter bite for certain. More toward citrus and floral. Bitterness abounds at the end. It's as good a DIPA as any of them.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass bottled 2/26/15. Pours a bright yellow with a 3 inch billowy white head, that coats the glass with thick patches of lace.
Smell is orange, garlic, pineapple, mango, and pine.
Taste is starts very tropical, with some garlic flavors in the middle, and a nice pinE and grapefruit finish that lingers on the tongue awhile.
Body is almost medium, just enough carbonation, a little dry, and excellent drinkability.
Overall this is a very nice DIPA brewed in my home state.
