Serving: Can
Canned: Feb-2?-2017 (Consumed April 29th)
A:
Pours a mango-pulp yellow-gold
with a couple fingers of soapy beige head never amounts to much. Ok retention; some streaks of lacing. (3.75)
S:
Ripe mango, oranges, mint, sugar cookies. (4)
T:
Initially fairly bitter this one opens up to be like tropical fruit juice washed away by earthy, green bitter dryness at the end. (4.25)
M:
Medium body with light carbonation and a vaguely resinous/weedy lingering finish. (4.25)
O:
Tasty IPA right here.
This is about as close to looking like juice as you can get. The rest of it is less juicy; there is some strong mango in the aroma and it has a fruity undercurrent to the taste but the majority of the flavor profile is dank, sticky hop bitterness. Very nice beer I'd gladly have it again. (4.25)

Pours a hazy golden straw color with a finger of pure-white head. Great retention on the head with a fair amount of lacing.
The aroma is barely noticeable, a recurring trait with Great Rhythm beers. There's some faint grapefruit and pineapple, with a subtle sugary bread note on the back end.
The taste is also very light, with a pretty noticeable metallic quality. Some lemon and grapefruit, with a few tropical notes thrown in.
I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the can, but the mouthfeel was basically hop water. Not much carbonation to speak of either. Just runny and watery, and the flavors are gone as soon as I swallow the beer.
Overall, a mediocre at best IPA. Great Rhythm has been hit-or-miss with me and this one is definitely a big miss. There's just not enough flavor and a terrible mouthfeel prevents me from wanting to revisit this one.

Hazy murky deep grapefuity yellow with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Resinous earthy grassy pithy hop aroma and flavor with bits of bready malt to back it up. Decent IPA, but my least favorite of the day.

Golden yellow in color. Turbid in appearance. Orange, ripe mango, papaya, grapefruit pith and hop pellets. Super dry finish. Huge cracker malt profile. Lower sweetness level. Fairly bitter. Creamy feel. Real solid.

From a 16oz can, purchased at the brewery, undated but, I'm pretty sure I remember it being canned a few weeks ago. Served in an imperial pint glass.
Starting off with a hard pour, I had to walk away and let the head settle before I could squeeze the rest of the can into the glass. Looks exactly like a glass of grapefruit juice but with a few fingers of big, bouncy, beautiful shaving cream-like foam. Exceptionally good retention with fat wads of lacing.
(I had a flight with Squeeze, Tropical Haze, Hi-Fi and Althea at Great Rhythm yesterday and, while all four were hazy to some extent, pretty much in ascending order as listed, Althea was the only one that was outright murky).
Smell is pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, pear and vanilla sugar cookies. The nose isn't as prominent as I might like but still makes me smile.
The taste is snappier and more bitter than the nose led me to expect, grapefruit rind and lemon pith, but gradually reveals a crisp sugar cookie body layered with some sweeter, more aromatic notes, as well. Finishes dank and drying, with long-lingering pine and citric bitterness.
Feel is clean, crisp and dry, a shade less than medium bodied and brightly carbonated.
Overall, a really nice NEIPA and another example of Great Rhythm really starting to hit their stride and cranking out the good stuff!
