Great to see more local attempts at the style. This one's pretty, dark mahogany with a nice big beige cap. Smells balanced and malty, pretty nice. Flavor is where things fall apart. It's a tasty beer, just not quite right for the style, leaning more toward toasted malt like a Dunkel. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and watery. Still very pleasant beer.
