On tap the Genesee Brewhouse in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a deep dark-ish amber color, with a half inch head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like dank pine and pine resin, with caramel, toffee, toast, and some mild grapefruit and other citrus.
This has a really killer earthy hop flavor to it, with a super clean and tasty bitterness. There's some mild sweetness, a bit of orange and grapefruit, with a nice and interesting malt backbone. I get toasted bread, caramel, and a little bit of toffee. Certainly not a traditional ESB, but that doesn't stop it from being a really tasty ESB.
This is medium bodied, slightly creamy, with a moderate level of carbonation, and really high level of drinkability.
Should've ordered more than one of these. It was awesome.
