Perfect balance between hemp flavor and fruit. A nice, not too sweet seltzer. Only negative is it looked flat after pouring but held the bubbles a little longer on taste. I will buy a lot more. Thanks!

So I have to rate this based on the fact I didn’t even know this was considered beer, let alone available to rate on BeerAdvocate. This is more of a malt beverage for sure. It pours a pale pinkish gold, almost like rosè wine. Smell likes medicine at first. The taste however is delicious, not too sweet and nice tastes of passionfruit and definitely has a hemp taste as well. The finish is light and smooth and refreshing, due to the carbonation being low.

1 PINT 7.5 FL. OZ. can
Served in a snifter
This premium malt beverage looks like apple juice. It is a pallid amber hue with no head.
The smell is sweet and has passionfruit. It also smells like my buddy when he walks out of his medicine shop in Ann Arbor.
It tastes like a sweet malternative beverage with passionfruit flavor. The hemp actually cuts the sweetness some to make it more tolerable.
Thin bodied with a watery mouthfeel
It doesn't drink like an 8%er. It actually tastes somewhat watered down compared to my other 8% gas station staples.

Looked like apple juice upon opening and pouring. It was clear like apple juice. It smelled like a sweet/burnt apple/fruit. It tasted sweet and yet like burnt fruit. It was tart and a little tangy. It was unpleasant but it was nothing like the Rivertown Hemp I had a few months ago. Now that had a hemp flavor and I wish I could have a couple of more of those. I was looking, hoping, for a more hemp infusion/flavor than fruit that tasted like it had been burnt in order to draw out the flavors. And it was a bit too sweet for my taste. I have to admit I am glad that I tried it but it won't be on my to drink again list any time soon.

From the 23.5 oz can marked F019-1114-06. Sampled on August 17, 2019.
The appearance is a golden yellow with decent clarity and a fizzy white head that disappears as fast as it appears.
The aroma emits the anticipated character of passion fruit and the ashy, mossy, weedy sensation of hemp seeds. Not much booze on the nose. Maybe a floral note.
Watery, light body.
The flavor is ripe with passion fruit and a sort of catty, burnt weediness, which is to be expected with the hemp. Mild, clean enough finish. Just not impressive to me.

1 pint, 7.5 oz. can:
Pours clear yellow. A thin head immediately disappears. No real lacing to speak of.
The smell is of strong hemp/rope. Vague passionfruit.
The taste is of rope with artificial sweetener that has a vague fruity character. Finishes with a hemp dryness.
Light-bodied, it has an odd aftertaste of hemp and sweetener.
An odd brew. Alcohol is relatively well covered. Not undrinkable. Not good.

had from a can
L: a fizzy pour with a head that lasts as song as a soft drink. Brilliant pale copper amber with streams of rapidly rising bubbles.
S: Some skunk but most blows off with the rest hanging around in the background. Some fruit notes and a cloying fruity sweetness.
T: Light skunk seasoned with some odd herbal notes and a fatty taste that has some bologna notes mingled with some pot and some rotten fruit notes. The sweetness and the passion fruit are in this beer to cover up the pot and alcohol flavors.
F: Medium light fizzy body.
O: This is a train wreck obviously geared to the underage drinker market. I am amazed that a brewer would make this and attempt to sell it.

Welcome back to New Oddball Beer Sunday (Week 735)! That first one was unexpected in all new & different ways! Let's see what its adjunct-filled CANterpart brings to the day.
From the CAN: "Real hemp seeds + natural hemp & passionfruit flavors."
I was rather stunned upon Crack!ing open the first (base) on in this series, so I have to admit to a bit of trepidation with regard to this one. It turned out not to be a CANcern as it was MUCH more subdued than in the previous beer. I beCAN a slow, gentle Glug since I was still using a Don Ho tumbler & it was a big CAN. As it slowly filled the awaiting glass, I could still smell the base skunkiness, but nowhere nearly as strongly as in the previous one. It created a brief finger of fizzy, foamy. bone-white head that quickly fizzed its way out of existence. Color was, again, a champagne-like Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4) with NE-quality clarity. Nose, while still evincing that skunkiness, also had a pleasantly muted tropical fruitiness. Mmm. It smelled like infused Jell-O! Nomnomnom. This was MUCH more palatable! Mouthfeel was barely medium, just a shade past watery. The taste was more weighted in favor of the tropical fruitiness, but it still tasted of hemp in the background. It was less unpleasant than the first one, but it was still a bit challenging. Finish was semi-sweet, but still a bit of an oddball. YMMV.
