The appearance was a hazy golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing sticking and then sliding in a stringy sort of way. The smell started off the normal "English soapiness" but in a good sweet malty sort of way. The taste was basically the same with a mild toffee coming through. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued and good yet grainy. Still, there’s a nice rolling smoothness about it that seems to make everything right. Overall, in my opinion, this one was a well deserved English Mild Ale.
