From the 22oz bottle - Nonic pint glass
Solid west coast style IPA with nice clarity through the golden amber body. Healthy off white head displaying lots of hang time and leaving sticky ribbons of lace decorating my glass. Solid hop bill here with some interesting fruity flavors. Pink Grapefruit, tropical fruits, dank herbals, gooseberry, and the Nelsons bring that bit of white grape through. There is some caramel malt sweetness to it but its kept in check with a nice cut from the hop bitterness. A decent offering from Ironfire. Worth checking out fresh.

Type: 12-oz. can
Glass: Beer Nerd 12-oz. tulip
From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $12.49 for a 6-pack
Purchased: Sept. 1, 2017
Consumed: Sept. 1, 2017
Reviewed as: American IPA
Misc.: Best by Nov. 30, 2017
Picked this up on a recent trip to Bine & Vine. Has planned to get just one of these as part of the variety 6-pack (and 10 pct. off.), but decided to go with a seperate 6-pack instead. First time seeing this one at all. Always mix Iron Fire and Iron First up, so I usually stay away. Gave in to the old “cool can” purchase and also for the hops mentioned - Galaxy, Nelson, Summer & Mosaic. When I look at it now, not a big fan of Galaxy, think Nelson is overrated, not sure what Summer is and Mosaic is my favorite. I guess Mosaic won out.
Poured a light amber clear color with three fingers of frothy white head. Tons of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass, looking like a snow globe. Excellent semi-layered foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled a garbled mess of hops at first, detecting Nelson and Galaxy (which admittedly are too close for me). Also floral, Citra (which is not in this beer), caramel candy squares, pine, caramel and white grape. Sniffing just the can added guava and mango. (Smell - 3.75)
Taste pretty much followed the nose. Lots of going on (four-plus hops are usually too much for me). For hops picked out Galaxy, Nelson and Mosaic, all trashy versions. Also bitter woody pine, toffee, sweet caramel, pineapple, bitter tropical rind, tangerine and sharp citrus zest. Also got a lingering spice which I couldn’t put the hop on. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, dry finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was a pretty good IPA overall. Probably picked the wrong 6-pack to get, but still very good. (Overall - 3.75)

Fluffy egg sell head stands atop the deep copper body, leaving lace galore with excellent retention. Smells of pine, tobacco, earth, pineapple, guava, citrus. Taste follows through with pine resin, tobacco and earth. Pineapple, citrus zest, guava, grass, straw, crackers. Nelson and Galaxy hops stand out in this one. Lots of bitterness and a smooth mouthfeel. Great brew from Ironfire. Cheers.

Orange gold with a thick white head that left dots and streaks of lacing.
Citrus and stone fruit on the nose and palate. Hint of zest.
Medium carbonation. Slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice dry bitter herbal finish.
Not overly sweet. Right amount of bitterness. Delicious!
