On tap at Bin 22. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of spices, yeast and toasted caramel. Sweet caramel with spices and a touch of fruitiness.

While this brew may be listed as retired, I had this on tap at Bin 22 in Jackson, WY for dinner; I even commented to the wait staff it was retired and the reply, "not here." Draft pour was into a pint glass.
A - hazy blonde in color with little carbonation and nice head
S- hint of apricot and other fruits
T- carbonation is evident on the front and dissolves into very nice subtle sweet flavors
F- smooth on the palate; very nice
Generally, saison brews and I do not get along well. I had to try this only because it was listed as retired. Honestly, this beer surprised me and deserves a chance in your beer closet.

really cool beer from a brewery i have never heard of before. love when that happens. this is a belgian blonde type, aged on peached and apricots, with the best of both fruits, sweet and tart and summery and super alive. the fruits pair so well with the belgian yeast in here, which is fruity in a different but complimentary way, with notes of white grape, green apple, and pear all in its ester profile. the beer is really bright, carbonated aggressively and pretty light in body. the apricots i think are more intense than the peaches if i really focus on it. i get their fuzzy little outsides and sweet fleshy insides with a pollenated floral character too. my one regret here is that its a little sweet in the finish, weighing down an otherwise really delicate beer, but the flavors in this are just fantastic, and the yeast profile is really cool too, more belgian than saison as we usually know them. i am already looking forward to my next chance to drink some beer from these guys, this was the bomb.
edit: i liked this a little less the second time around, about four years after the original review here, its got less tartness than i think i remember, more of a simplified belgian profile, and the fruit is all but fermented out of it, and the carbonation really sags. im not totally sure i could get peach or apricot out of it if i didnt know, but maybe i am being too critical, its still summery and light and a little different. leaving original scores as are, but this didnt strike me as quite so awesome this time...
