unexpected beer from these guys, did not know them to be doing funky ferments and long wood aging like this, pretty exciting find on tap! the beer is good but it isnt amazing, the brett is a little stinky, the acidity is higher than it needs to be, and there is like a sour cereal vibe where the yeast and the grain combine and get kind of heavy and husky, not as refined or dialed as i was hoping for, but that doesnt diminish the fact that its still cool these guys are playing in this space. this is straw colored, yellowish and light looking, a little still for me in this style, slightly watered down looking. a nose of not quite ripe green grapes, cheerios and wheaties, cheap white wine, old and new oak at the same time, lemony bacterial tang, and the flavor follows, its light sure, but its also overly sour at the expense of the funk and the wooden maturity, and there are major cereals in here, which make it taste and drink heavier than it is. i get some oak, some vinous notes, some soft white florals, but this has gone a little sideways for me and really not what i wanted it to be, kind of flat feeling and tired, overly bacterial, fun to taste on and i respect the effort, but they have some work to do if they want to get relevant with the wild and funky stuff...

Had on tap. Pours a shiny and blurry goldenrod with a ring of white bubbles. Smell is sour oak, light flowers, lemon, pear, and hay. It is super thin in the body and pretty thin in taste as well. No sign of booze what so ever, and the sour oak is really the only constant. Ok at best
