A thanks to the commander of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of citrus, a bit floral. Taste is of orange peels, some pine, floral at the finish, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall it ain't bad, but I didn't get the juiciness that was advertised.

Once more, the Tavour service comes through for The CANQuest (tm) is a big way! I may not be buying many bottled beers through them, but you CAN bet your bottom dollar that I am snapping up CANs as they become available. I have really enjoyed access to the Wildcard beers thus far & they are only about an hour from my mother's place in Chico, CA.

From the CAN: "Limited Release"; "25 IBU"; "Distinctive tones of fresh crushed citrus & tropical fruit. Alive with flavor & refreshingly juicy Hops: Motueka, Citra & Amarillo".

I Crack!ed open the vent and CANmenced a slow, gentle Glug into the awaiting glass. Unbidden, it formed two-plus fingers of dense, rocky, foamy, French Vanilla-colored head with excellent retention. Color was an oh-so-slightly hazy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose was filled with tropical fruit, including the usual suspects of mango, guava, papaya and in this case, pineapple. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was interesting in that it did not have the usual cloying sweetness of these recent tropical AIPAs, but was instead tempered with additional flavors of grapefruit and pine. It was better than many AIPAs that I have had that involved Motueka hops, but it still lacked the level of bitterness that is a hallmark of the style. Finish was semi-dry to dry with a lingering woody pine taste. It was not bad, per se, but it was not my favorite offering from these guys so far. Oh well. YMMV.

Poured from a 16oz can into a Speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a yellow golden hazy with a billowy white head.

Aroma is sweet orange tangerine tangy. So delicious.

Taste matches aroma. Lots of intense citrus.
