This one has a sweet malt and a fruity estery yeast character. Peaches, pear, apple and strawberry are coming to me. This may be from the addition of the mangosteens. I am picking up a creamy almost buttery thing going on as well. This comes off as an almost buttery popcorn flavor note as I sip on this beer. Hop flavor and bitterness are very subtle and the finish is mostly sweet with a very slight floral and grassy hop flavor mixed in.

From the bottle, it pours a not-so-surprisingly hazy light amber with a modest head, very soon dissipating to nothing. A little fruit and a little malt in the nose. In the mouth, it is slightly tart and then a bit malty.

Can:
Pours clear, light gold but ends up in glass with a bit of an orange hue. Head was ok on initial pour, but wasted away to nothing before first sip. Looks flat.
Nose is sweet apple, banana, maybe a little strawberry. Leaning sweet, but there’s a fresh hay aspect to provide a semblance of balance.
Taste is similar, but not as sweet as nose foretold. But also not as complex. Strawberry-banana yogurt with that red delicious apple up front. This steps aside for that grassy hay, which doesn’t try hard to impose. A little peppery back aids the balance a bit. Feel is smooth, but because it’s near flat in a way... the carbonation feels as if they were micro-bubbles.
With warmth, a definite malted barley grain note comes out, which somewhat replaces the hay-grass notes from earlier.
Not too bad. I’m not a big fruity saison fan, but this has just enough in back to counter that flesh-fruit sweetness to make it ok.

Pretty mediocre Saison. Pours a hazy honey-yellow color with a very fast fading small fizzy white head. No real carbonation after the head fades. No lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet malt, sweet and tart fruitiness (probably the mangosteens) , Flavor includes the fruit, sweet malts and and a little tart yeastiness as the beer warms. Mouthfeel is tart, light and a bit flat. Could have used a bit more carbonation. Taste is not that bad, still not a Saison I would revisit.

Golden orange in color. Crystal clear with a 1 1/2 finger white head that dissipates very quickly leaving no trace. After a few minutes, it looks like a glass of wine.
Smell is typical saison, spicy, earthy and lemony, with a kicked up fruitiness from the mangosteen.
Taste starts all saison, but a half second in, I get a huge push of mangosteen that makes me go--whoa!
Sweeter than the run of the mill saison, but tart overall. Fruity and tropical and earthy.
Medium full in body, a thick tropical punch feel. Slick and retentive, becoming drying in the end.
A really good beer. The mangosteen enhances the saison qualities.

Had this one on tap at Westover Beer Garden. Served in a stemmed tulip.
Unimpressed with what looks to be COTU's first attempt at a Saison. This beer seemed rather flat, very little head and what little I had quickly dissipated to nothing. No peppery esters in the aroma and the Mangosteen's tartness was more a distraction than tasty addition.
