Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance β The beer pours a medium brown-mahogany color with a one finger head of off white foam. The head fades over about a one minute time period to leave a modest sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma is a mix of a dark wheaty smell mixed with tons of clove and a whole lot of an off musty smell. There is a little bit of some darker fruit aromas, but overall, the musty and the wheat dominate the smell.
Taste β The taste begins with a somewhat darker fruit sweetened wheat bread taste mixed with a whole lot of clove. The clove grows stronger and stronger as the taste advances with it getting very strong toward the end. Along with these tastes comes some other flavors of a grassy and hay nature, and with some yeast that develops and some odd musty flavors that develop at the end, one is left with a not so pleasant aftertaste that lingers on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is rather average in both its thickness and carbonation. OK but nothing special.
Overall β This was certainly not a beer I will come back too. It was a bad mix of malty/sweet, clove, and mustiness. Not for meβ¦.
