Green bottle, with like 25 mentions on the label that it's IMPORTED.

Pours a pleasant, raisin-colored brown-red with a small wisp of a head.

Smells very malty and fruity. Probably (most likely) past its prime but there's no way for me to tell since the bottle ain't dated. Not a bad smell--these guys tend to hold up decent to age--but nearly hopless. Instead, nodes of toffee, fruit, and light butter dominate.

Tastes like it smells: very sweet and malty, and pleasantly aged. Biscuits and toffee up front, fruit in the middle, and an aggressively sweet, almost frosting-like finish that gets to be a bit too much.

This a decent enough curiosity. I'd love to try it fresh. But stateside, with no guarantee of quality, it's nothing to seek out.

Bottle from Colonial Spirits.
Dark brown in color without much of a head. Molasses and caramel aroma and flavor mostly. Hints of raisin and prune but this feels mostly artificial.

Poured a dark brown color with a small tan head of foam. It smelled of sweet caramel and slightly vegetal. This was not good. Overly sweet. Tasted like a homebrew made from extract.

Deep dark ruby body, creamy light tan head that leaves a ring and streaks of lace. Roasty malt soothed by a bit of stone fruit sweetness on the nose. The flavor follows, with a fair amount of something like grape juice playing off the roasted, caramel-like malt. Body is wonderful; creamy, smooth, almost like a nitro beer without the flatness- there's some restrained but assertive carbonation.
Had the creamy, roasted notes I was hoping for, and then surprised me with a hearty helping of stone fruits to provide some sweetness. Thefruit was a bit much on the flavor, but still appropriate. Really impressed by this one, it's on my list of oddly satisfying brews.

With a dark mahogany color, it is nicely sweet, balanced and malt forward with a dark cereal and molasses malt taste. While it does have a slightly grassy hop taste, it is still balanced and effervescent with good mouthfeel and aftertaste. The low alcohol content makes this beer a very good choice for a malt session beer. This is very similar to the Primator Premium Dark Lager, the Orion Stout from Intergalactic Brewing Company and even the non-alcoholic Malty and Maltstar from Israel.

Good looking on the pour, dark brown to black with small creamy beige head. Aroma gives no clues, taste is overly sweet, cola flavored, some roast grain bitterness and very sweet finish. Much sweeter than I like, but may be a good dessert beer.

Dark brown color with light brown head. Aroma has toasted malt and dark sugar. Taste is roasty but quite balanced. Body is on the light side. Easy drinking but kind a bit too simple.
