Pale gold with some haziness, soufflé foam and a drippy halo of lacing, patchy surface skim.
Aroma is spice forward, lightly sweet bubblegum with some phenolic botanicals.
Tastes like licorice and bubblegum. Light astringency, largely phenolic. The light pale malt base is refreshing, though with all the extra stuff added it lacks subtlety. Fernet is pretty licorice forward, from my limited experience, so I avoid it. This is lighter, but pretty heavy on the licorice. Light bodied and effervescent, ample carb. One and done for me, YMMV.
