Judge Roy Bean is an American stout brewed in collaboration with our good friends at Fairhope Roasting Company, whose House Blend is cold-brewed and added to this already decadent brew. This beer is our tribute to the beloved Eastern Shore landmark, and much like the old days at the Bean, we think you'll love spending your holiday with Judge Roy Bean.

On tap at Boudreaux's Cajun Grill in Daphne, AL.
Finally being an Alabama, beer!
Beautiful darkness!
Nicely smokey, slightly sweet chocolate on the nose.
Taste is just the right amount of sweetness for me today. The vanilla doesn't hit right away, but it's there for sure. Not overly strong in the coffee department.
Nice high average brew!

Unfortunately, this is a mediocre variant of a coffee stout. Just not enough coffee and not enough big stout flavorings. Would love to see Fairhope come up with a imperial version of this. Alternate recommendation would be terrapin’s wake ‘n’ bake.

12 oz bottle purchased from a grocery store in Gulf Shores, AL. Poured into a 12 oz snifter.
Dark shiny black body with a thin 1/2 finger of head receding to a wispy ring.
On the nose I get black pepper, burnt toast, fruity and acidic coffee notes, slight sour blackberry, and slight overall sourness.
Flavor brings a commanding presence of black pepper, mixed with dark toast, milk chocolate, and fruity coffee notes. Some slight hop bitterness on the back end mixes with natural coffee bitterness. Slight hints of vanilla wafer float in and out.
Feel is crisp, slightly silky; brings a very clingy resiny presence to the palate, with slight acidic carbonation burn.
Overall a decent coffee stout but nothing I'm too crazy about. It's a lot better than some, but not one of the best.

More big thanks to richj1970 for another treat .
Gonna be a simple straightforward review for a simple straightforward beer. It pours the expected black with unexpected big topper of light tan foam that kicks back quick and ends as skim island and thick ring. Great aroma of dark toast, bitter roast malt, nice oily coffee notes, some lightly creamy sweet, and the taste is pretty much that too. Very bright clean flavors, no resin build, and the med. carb. and light body just seal the deal. Not sure how this isn't rated much higher. Highly recommended. Cheers!

-Duvel glass.
A: Beautiful and dominating copper-bronze head is firm in stance with a spongy texture and a large standing appeal at 3+ fingers. Dark chocolate-coffee pour sits with some golden-bronze micro-effervesce. Head retention is rather lengthy, several minutes, with a half glass coverage of lacing.
S: Rich and sweet caramel chocolate nose with some hints of vanilla. Small fresh coffee beans, whole, are light to medium in intention, with a short life span.
T: Chocolate flavor with hints of dried vanilla coffee. Light to medium roastiness, some dark plums and dried roasted hop flowers. Finishes rather clean.
M: Medium body, milky with some carbonation texture around the tongues edges. Moderate with some chalkiness on the fade.
O: The flavor was solid (3.5) but really didn't really impress to heavily on its first impression. Moderate range of flavor, some light coffee-dried vanilla with a casual drink-ability pub style. Improves somewhat deeper into the experience.

This beer is handsdown my absolute favorite beer!! The smoothest stout I have ever tries with notes of coffee, and perfect balance of sweetness. Pure perfection!!
