On draft, Avenue Pub AL.
Really nice deep pink pour. Small ring of frothy white head rims the glass, not leaving much retention behind. The color suggests that the tap list was incorrect here, as Fairhope’s watermelon wheat is how it was labeled but that beer is pale gold in color. Their Hurricane Wheat has this exact deep pink coloration to it.
The nose is inviting and fresh. Wheaty, but with distinctly fruity notes. Passionfruit and sweet lemon stand out, and it even has a subtle acidic tartness to it.
Fresh, clean, crushable flavors. More sweet fruits, along with pale malts and grain undertones. There’s a touch of metallic flavors but they’re very subtle and that’s just me being picky.
Light-bodied, clean, crisp. All you want for a hot day.
