Canned 3/5/24 poured 4/24/24 deep golden haze with fluffy meringue head. Aroma is floral , lemon grass, mild citrus. Taste is a tart mix of citrus and pine, solid malt backbone, cracker toast. Mouth feel is dry, smacky smacky good. It’s a nice representation of wcipa and one Connecticut’s best!

Doesn’t have a strong aroma but does have a smooth taste. A little citrus but not overwhelming. The alcohol at 9.1% is present but doesn’t overpower the flavor. Enjoyable.

Look: pours a cloudy deep gold, big soapy head, decent lacing
Smell: resin, earthy, pine, blueberry, alcohol
Taste: resin, blueberry, pine, peach, grapefruit, tangerine, earthy spice
Feel: med body, mod carbo, bitter
Overall: Coming in strong at 9.1% abv and I can taste it. Boozy diesel fuel. Big resin upfront on the nose and taste. Blueberries were the dominant fruit and then it shifts to the peach, tangerine, grapefruit mélange. Finish is earthy and spicy with good bitterness. I like this brew and would love to drink more. Pairs well with Fuel by Metallica. It honestly does. Cheers!

I probably don’t grab this one enough as every time I have it I enjoy it. I like the fact that is a big 9% beer and you can kind of tell as they don’t try to hide it too much. Solid brew

this is my first from these guys, pint can, getting towards the end of its useful life, a partial casualty of my parents beer fridge, they dont drink any hoppy stuff and when people show up with this stuff at their place, leftovers sit around indefinitely until i come home, so this one had been around since the summer anyway, still i can see the promise, brightly hopped but not real bitter, chasing dry and without a ton of alcohol presence for how strong it really is. unfiltered looking, orange tinted, high headed, good retention and lace, nice looking pour. the aroma is fruit forward with a candied aspect, orange peel and like skittles to me, early starting, seems like more than just citra and mosaic, maybe some hop products in here to enhance, cantaloupe and pineapple and mandarin orange from the can, warms up favorably, alcohol stays back, grain is there for balance, light cereal character, out of the way for an imperial, some resinous character, and there is a little fade on this, but im not holding it against the beer. the flavor follows the nose, some oxidation making it papery and disrupting the hops a little, seemingly bringing out a bit of a yeast element that im not sure would be so apparent closer to peak freshness, the hops still drive it though, sticky weed and honey to me, orange essential oil, zested lemon, mango, again a lot of cool fruity nuance thats a little bit different for just the citra and mosaic they claim, sweet for a flash but drying out faster than most towards the finish, tempered bitterness for the overall hop intensity, mandarin orange and dehydrated mango and apricot to finish, nice timings, temperatures, and dosages here, they have gotten more from these varietals than most do, and while it sounds like standard fare on paper, its not in the glass. smooth medium body, light spiciness late as it warms, good carbonation, soft, not too much malt here, overall a well made beer that i am eager to try at max freshness when the opportunity presents itself in the future, solid first impression from this lazily named operation.

A juicy and very strong flavored double IPA, although not very sweet or bitter. Malty backbone and some prominent booze taste. Smooth and very rich feel with fitting medium carbonation

08/04/25. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Clear light amber with 2-finger frothy white head with good retention and thick, craggy lacing all down the glass.
S: Aroma is jammy with pineapple, guava, orange, and grapefruit and dank herbal honeysuckle undercurrent and light biscuit malt. No ester character.
T: Flavor is excellent with dank weed note throughout and fruity orange, tangerine, pineapple, and grapefruit. Malt backbone is stout with some biscuit character. Bitterness is moderate. Alcohol is steely but not obtrusive.
M: Medium+ body but medium-high carbonation evens it out and lightly dry finish.
O: Dogs & Boats is an excellent, new school West Coast DIPA - very glad I picked it up!!

Picked up a single nineteen ounce can at Luke's Liquors in Plymouth, Massachusetts for about four dollars. My sixth brew from these guys. Nice brew, not too boozy.

Poured from a can into a Belgian Tulip. Dogs and Boats pours a cloudy muted gold color with a small head of ecru-ish foam. The head has a great level of retention and leaves lots of streaky lace. The aroma is fresh pine with a bit of orange and tangerine zest over malty sweetness and a touch of lemongrass and barley grain. The taste starts with strong crisp malted barley giving a slightly sweet, ‘bready’ taste with tangerine followed by a big showing of grapefruit, crisp hop, and a bit of pine. As the taste advances the grapefruit swells even more and is joined by a touch of lemongrass and citrusy lemon zest. It finishes dry, leaving a nice citrusy and grapefruit heavy taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel of the brew is medium-light in body with a medium-high carbonation level, making a fantastically easy drinker for its elevated ABV. Outstanding beer, well done.

This is easily the best IPA I've had to date. All the tastes of an IPA with none of the drawback. Flavor is delicious and not overpowering. Additionally, Beer'd silo is one of the most fun craft beer bars I've visited.

Slightly foggy looking gold, nice white head, some decent lacing. Nose says, pine, tangerine, orange, taste buds agree getting some grapefruit. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated, a bit sticky, nice bitter finish. Terrific brew.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed deep golden amber color with a small head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, fading over time and leaving lots of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a cracker malt and grapefruit hop smell mixed with a bit of orange and tangerine and a touch of grain. Along with these smells comes a bit of herbal and pine hop as well as some lemon and lemongrass.
Taste – The taste starts with a crisp cracker malt and somewhat grainy bread taste. There is a touch of sweetness, being of an orange and tangerine. Along with these flavors comes a big showing of grapefruit hop and a bit of pine. As the taste advances the grapefruit swells even more and is joined by a touch of lemongrass and lemon seed. Toward the end of the taste, comes a even further drying out of the taste, leaving one with a nice citrusy and grapefruit heavy west coast double IPA taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is moderate to lighter in thickness and chewiness for a 9.1 % abv brew, with a slightly higher carbonation level. Both are great for the tastes and the style, making a rather dangerously easy drinker.
Overall – A rather nice west coast double IPA. Flavorful and dangerously easy to drink.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a 2F head and moderate lacing.
Smells of floral, grassy hops with malt and citrus.
Tastes of tart grapefruit, orange, lemon and pineapple with a moderately bitter finish. The high ABV hides well.
Medium light body and carbonation. Dry mouthfeel.
This is a dangerously drinkable brew that is complex, juicy and bitter on balance.
Many brewers are offering brews that are light on body and nuance but heavy with the ABV. When I saw the price this in a tallboy can I was expecting one of these. Well, if is, it is the best I have run into so far.
