Notes: Hopped with Nelson Sauvin and Citra. Signature yeast leaves the beer hazy, adding complex notes of grapefruit, orange, and a slight tartness.

A: Pours a lightly hazy golden yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a decent cap that leaves good lacing

S: A good mix of citrus, floral, and very lightly earthy hops up front along with a light malt backbone

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with a mix of citrus and floral hops, then picks up some earthy undertones and a bit of malt. Lightly bitter. Finishes with lingering citrus and floral tones

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A solid pale ale that is nicely hoppy. Well balanced and very easy to drink. Worth checking out

All I can say is it was like drinking Dogs and Boats little brother lol. Very good with almost exactly the same profile as D&B without the insane afterbite. I think it would be great in a session with D&B but quite tasty either way.

Poured at fridge temp to a can dated 04/05/21 to a Nonic.
A medium white head sits above an opaque hazy tangerine-colored body.
The smell is fruity.. orange rind and nectarine with a musty background.
Taste is similar maybe with a hint of melon and a nice bitter finish.
Body is a little thin for the style.
Overall good, but I think I would rather drink Dogs and Boats if both were available.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.

Pours a hazy orange straw color with a finger of sudsy white head. The head leaves some splotchy lacing as it settles into a thin halo.

The aroma brings notes of grapefruit, mango, sweet orange and white grape juice.

The flavor is a bit sweeter than the aroma, bringing notes of oranges and tangerines, with some mangoes, honeydew melon, and grape juice not far behind. Finishes with some subtle grapefruit and earthy spice.

The feel is medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. A bit oily, yet smooth and creamy.

Overall, this is a very good pale ale that really showcases the Nelson hop. It's not exactly well-balanced, but it's quite flavorful and at 5.7% it's very drinkable.

This pours out as a hazy yellow color with a white head on top. Good lacing and retention. The smell of the Nelson hops are pretty dominant here, they definitely shine through more than the citra. The taste has a nice balance of hoppy and sweet. Overall this beer is really quite nice.

On-tap 3/14/2015 at The Engine Room, in Mystic, CT served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color, with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains floral hops, fruity citrus and light caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out with a nice burst of piney hops bitterness that is quickly followed by sweet flavors of fruity citrus and caramel. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Very tasty, goes down quite easily, not too filling, mild kick, very good representation of style, this is a very good beer to drink for a long time.
